Description | The research-based pedagogical interventions in the form of a workshop were part of the authors' art-based-research and artistic development project, based on an analysis of the creative process and its outcomes, the non-verbal and verbal responses of the children's authors, and a holistic approach with an emphasis on the acquisition of art experiences in pre-primary art education. The intention was to gain a deeper understanding of the ways in which children express themselves artistically in relation to selected preconcepts. The goal was to recognize the unique value of the experience itself and to promote authenticity of artistic expression. Thus, the effort was not simply to find direct parallels between the pictorial and descriptive expressions that the children reported. The selection of the heterogeneous group was purposeful - it was one of the classes of a faculty kindergarten. The intention of the intervention was also to link the didactic training with the reflected practice of students who carry out art activities in the faculties and who have diverse experiences of how they are offered in kindergartens. The interventions were therefore intended to demonstrate the meaningfulness of the outcomes expected by pre-school education and the feasibility of implementing them with children. |
