Citation
Description The paper focuses on the phenomenon of anti-heroines in contemporary Polish drama, which reflects the changing social and cultural norms in post-communist society. The phenomenon of ‘anti-heroines’ will be analysed on the example of two dramatic texts (Migrena (2010) by Antonina Grzegorzewska and Schwarzcharakterki (2021) by Martyna Wawrzyniak). By comparing these two works, it will be shown how the figure of the ‘anti-heroine’ is perceived by the young generation of playwrights and how these characters reflect broader social issues such as identity, power relations and gender issues. The paper aims not only to analyse literary and dramatic elements, but also to inspire further research into the role of women in art and culture.
