Description | The paper explored the relationship between geographical and social mobility of the nobility in 14th-century Central Europe through a specific example. The subject of the analysis was the career of the Carinthian nobleman Konrad II of Kraig (+ 1399), who, thanks to his service at the Habsburg and later Luxemburg court, experienced a considerable social rise, multiplied his property and founded a new family branch in southern Bohemia. |
