| Description | The textbook “Physiology of nervous system” represents a supplementary material to the neurophysiology lectures. The chapters correspond to the topics of the lectures, and the text is a free commentary on the slides presented in lectures. The first four chapters are dedicated to general topics, from the regulátory role and development, through the structure of the nervous system, to the characteristics of membrane events and synapse functions. The next five chapters are dedicated to somatosensitivity, pain and special senses. The next two chapters describe motor functions and subsequent two chapters autonomic and limbic systems. The last three chapters deal with the neocortex, including the highest functions, such as the psychological, social and philosophical aspects of cerebral activity. |
