Description | Renal osteopathy with its manifestations afflicts not only bones but also jaws. Pathologic picture of multiple foci in the jaw related to the teeth could indicate both major surgery, multiple tooth extractions and even resection of the jaw if the causes inducing this state remain unknown. Parathyreoidectomy and gradual adjustment of bone mineral metabolism in interdisciplinary collaboration is necessary for the treatment. The jaw is treated in conservative way without major sugery till the pathologic state improves or disappears. The two cases described below were treated analogously. |
