Description | The long QT syndrome is underlied by mutations of different genes for ion channels. Because of different kinetics different exercise dependent behaviour of QT interval has been proposed. Members of 5 long QT families were investigated by bicycle ergometry. 3 types of exercise dependent behaviour were identified: shortening of QT interval, its prolongation and slight variations. In majority of patients the maximum values were recorded after cessation of exercise. |
