Description The submicroscopic structure of cumulus cells of preovulatory oocytes was compared with those of successfully fertilised, cleaved and implanted oocytes.It has been documented, that during culture following fertilization, the cumulus cells differentiate in dark cells with steroidogenic activity, and light cells characterised by degenerative changes.
