Description | Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) belongs among the most popular tests worldwide. The administration of the test - in consonance with original Murrays model - is rather time consuming. For the sake of broader applicability, we decided to make the administration system more user friendly. The purposes are: a) Group administration b) Less amount of time and experience needed Thus, we use a written form of test administration. We also focus on the series of picture stimuli and analyze the possibility of enlarging the current set with new pictures. At the same time, we seek the principles for reducing the number of administrated pictures according to particular test situations and a given claim. Our goal is to achieve less amount of information processed along with maintaining of the level of the predication value. Besides the issue of administration, we take into account the interpretation schema of the test. This design of the study is still in the preliminary stage but the future development shows promise. It should not aspire to replace TAT at all. The purpose is to offer an extra method of administration that is not so much time consuming; or to provide basic orientation to psychotherapists. Shorter administration time allows us to combine the test with other tests. |
