Description | Reactions of silantriols of the type RSi(OH)3 (R = organic substituent) with suitable partners lead to cubic metallosilicate compounds. These cubic molecules then can be potentialy used as precursors for the preparation of oxidic or hybrid materials or as catalysts. For the synthesis of metallosilicates we used alkoxides (M(OR)4) and trichlorides (RMCl3) of various elements. In both cases R is organic substituent and M can be for example Ti, Si, B, P and other elements. As an example, the reactions of N-trimethylsilyl-N-trihydroxysilyl-2,6-diisopropylaniline with RSiCl3 (R = tBu, Ph, Me, H) in the presence of Et3N or pyridine as acceptor of HCl will be presented. Another route to cubic metallosilicates are substitutional reactions. We studied the reactions of titanosilicate with alcohols, silanols and hexafluoracetylacetone. These reactions lead to new cubic titanosilicates with various organic substituents on titanium and with N(2,6-iPr2C6H3)(SiMe3) as substituent on silicon. |
