Description | we introduce the result of nutrion habits of women from Brno set of ELSPAC, divided according to their smoking behaviour or possible exposition to tabacco smoke of their partner (non-smokers, smokers, passive smokers). 3727 women have completed the questionnaire 320 (8,6 %) of them were smoking also in half of pregnancy, 1363 (36,6 %) of them were passive smokers (the partner was smoking) and 2044 of them were non-smokers and were not exposed to tobacco smoke at home. Significant differences were found between nutrition habits of smokers and non-smoking women :non-smokers preferens smoked meats, patés, fried foods and garnish and low use of root vegetable, potatoes and fruits as well as milk and dairy products. Smokers prefers significantly more often full fat milk and cream, different kinds of sweet and fat bread and patries, over-sweetened Cola drinks and lemonades. Found results support the effort aimed to engagement of the constant concentration on nutrition habits of pregnant and breast feeding women and emphatic warning against of both legal and illicit drug use into the priorities of preventive care of mother and child. |
