Description One of the characteristics of the morphological stucture of a language is a strong tendency towards stability and the minimal impact on non-language factors. In spite of this, many changes in the morphological system of modern Russian have been noted over recent decades. While the majority are the result of international (i- e. language) factors, some are attributable to external (i. e. non-language) factors. The majority of linguists assert that the majority of these changes are the result of tendency of Russian towards the analytic expression of grammatical phenomena. The most important of these linguists are analyzed in this text.
