| Description | Our field survey around the village of Olomučany reveald a workshop for the local black Jurassic chert. Successive geophysical research showed a few anomalies that were interpreted as prehistoric mines. In the area of the largest anomaly we carried out an archaeological excavation. It really found a pit filled by fresh chips of local limestone and chert, unfortunately without evidence of its age. |
