| Description | This contribution deals with symbolic level of river reflection. It presents the way in which river stimulated everyday human imagination. Imaginative power of water is considered as the most important element here. Symbolic world of river is illustrated on the example of social perception of swamp and pool as a representation of concrete type of fluvial biotopes. Negative symbolism connected to this day in everyday perception with swampy biotopes can make their protection more difficult. |
