Description | The Division of Medical Anthropology intends to continue in outlined three directions of activities: educational activities, investigation activities and popularization of its results. Besides standard classes of human anatomy devoted to medical students, educational activities intend to be focused on pregraduated research activities dealing with anatomical and anthropological issues. Special lectures focusing on anthropometry and growth anthropology are supposed to be added to current schedule. Continued to be associated to archaeological workplaces, the research activities will be still focused on the issues described under the part of paleopathology. Supposed systematic investigation of tuberculosis, aimed to detect species Mycobacteria in different biological samples, bone samples included, might be mentioned. The concern of activities leading to general popularization of anthropology is supposed. |
