Bacterial oxidation of elemental sulfur: changes in metabolic parameters

• Description: Growth yield on sulfur and maximum sulfur oxidation rate in 50 batch cultures of Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans were determined. No significant correlation between the constants was observed. The results are related to variable function of the reverse electron transport.
