Citation
Description The contacts between Czechoslovakian democratic exile and Hungarian exile were established since the turn of 1940s and 1950s. Joint plans for liberation were also formed (as the so called "policy of liberation"). The year 1956 was brought about a change; the Czechoslovakian exile was connected intensely to the new wave of Hungarian exile and helped its heads to obtaining contacts to West politicians and other exile organisations. The experience of Hungarian revolution became the cornerstone of arguments for the new "policy of self-liberation". A mayor part was played by Hubert Ripka on the Czechoslovakian part.
