| Description | The Working paper deals with an analysis of the main demographic processes in the Czech Republic in period between 1990 and 2005. Its focus is on the main demographic determinants, namely fertility, mortality and migration movements. We concentrate on their influence on the age structure of population. Subsequently, we try to discover how they affect competitiveness of the Czech economy. The most important effects are identified in the area of population and workforce ageing. |
