| Description | Julius Zeyer is presented in this paper from a perspective which has not received due consideration yet. It is the aspect of Czech-French literature, having very close relations to Zeyer s life as well. The poet concentrates in his creation mainly on French medieval compositions. This attitude, together with his impressive and modern adaptations of old French literary texts, contributes to Zeyer being considered as the most "French" writer of the second half of the nineteenth century. |
