Description | The article deals with the controversial reception of Hans Leberts novel “Wolfshaut“, which was published in 1960 and which represents one of the first writings of the Austrian Literature after the World War II dealing with the war crimes and Nazi period in Austria. Nowadays, more than 45 years later, this novel can be treated as a model story describing the changes and complicated relations among a small community (an outlying village Schweigen in this case) during the significant political upheavals. |
