Description | The article proves by evidence of the two general educational writings - Gellius's informational as well as genre-varied miscellaneous work Noctes Atticae from the 2nd part of the 2nd century AD and educational dialogue Saturnalia by Macrobius from the fifth century AD - the transformation of the cultural self-consciousness and related educational aims, which undergoes Roman intellectual elite facing the gradual expanding christianity and the decline of Roman empire. |
