| Description | The article discusses the problematic language classification of John Malalas’ Chronicle (6th cent.). Attention is paid to the structure of the so-called “administrative style”, paralells between the clause structure in Malalas and in other literary sources (ecclesiastical documents, Iustinian’s legislation etc.) are drawn. |
