| Description | The article deals with the concept of strategic planning in socio-ecological system. Backcasting is introduced as an alternative way of strategy forming. Firstly, the basic concept which is rooted in 1970s is described, then attention on newer applications is drawn. One of the examples of backcasting use is is the Strategic Sustainable Development Framework (SSDF). The model use was documented in several cities, businesses and shows a potential for obtaining a competitive advantage. |
