| Description | This article deals with the election to the Iceland parliament (Alting) held on the 12th May 2007. This election has brought termination of the current government coalition and creation of a new form of government composition. The article describes electoral system, situation before the election and analyses election results. The results of the election are compared with the results of the parliamentary elections in 2003. |
