| Description | PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) was implemented into our Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in year 2004. Introduction of PACS into Obystetrics and Gynecology brings many advantages.It improves the quality of the medical care, especially in the field of safe archivation of image data and their further usage. Archived material is easily and quickly accessible and forms the base of the anonymous tutorial database aimed at medical students and doctors.The main source of image data is ultrasound and endoscope. Archived endoscopic recordings complement the surgery reports which describe the findings during the surgery. |
