Description A few millions of patients with tumour diseases are diagnosed worldwide per year. Recently, it was discovered that content of metallothionein (MT)changes with different tumour diseases such as breast cancer, melanoma, pancreas cancer etc. The changes in MT expression could be used as a prognostic marker of a tumour disease. So, investigation of the changes of MT expression at patients using simple and rapid analytical techniques is needed. The aim of this work was to develop a new rapid and highly sensitive analytic method for MT. Determination of MT was performed by modified differential pulse voltammetry in connection with adsorptive transfer stripping voltammetry.
