Description The case reports a 57 year old man with pyoderma gangrenosum, who has been treated for rheumatoid arthritis since the age of 25 years. His medication had recently included prednison 5 mg once a day and non steroidal antiflogistics. The patient was hospitalized at the I. Department of Dermatovenerology because of the large two months lasting ulceration on his left lower leg. The diagnosis of pyoderma gangrenosum was established on the basis of clinical manifestation. Histopathological findings did not exclude this diagnosis. The fast healing was induced after the local applications of corticosteroids. Under the term of complete examination the adenocarcinoma of prostate was detected, thats why the patient was handed over to the care of the Department of Urology, where radical prostatectomy was carried out. This case is interesting because there is a coincidence of two diseases (rheumatoid arthritis and adenocarcinoma of prostate), which could exert etiology of pyoderma gangrenosum.
