Description In 2007 a study aimed at primary prevention of pathological dependencies was carried out. With the assistance of anonymous questionnaire full-time students from all faculties of Masaryk University were addressed. It was obtained a sample by 2716 respondents whose answers were statistically evaluated (x2 test, Fischers exact test). Only 20% of addressed students had an encounter with primary antidrug prevention, mostly in compulsory and facultative courses. With regard to preventive impact, especially the monologue lectures are applied, rarely the lectures with discussion and taking part in non-university preventive programmes. Although the preventive activities are insufficiently systematic and complex, half of the addressed students consider them useful. According to students, there should be more time given to prevention, it should be more varied and attractive.
