| Description | The article deals with structure of foreign migration in Czech Republic during the period 1991-2004. The importance of foreign migration in the population development of the Czech Republic was increased. The author divides the above mentioned period into three phases (1991 - 1995, 1996 - 2000 and 2001 - 2004) in which he focuses on changes of patterns of migration behavior and most significant migration streams. Theses are based on standard indicators. Also the changes in methodology of registering migration after year 2000 are taken in. The migration streams with the Slovak Republic are considered as very important as well as the final destination of immigrants to the Czech Republic. |
