| Description | Nowadays Slovakia finishes its preparations for the euro adoption that will replace the Slovak crown from 1 January 2009. In comparison the Czech Republic has not even announced a deadline for the euro acceptance yet. The paper is focused on a possible connection between the euro adoption and the development of the fiscal position of the particular countries. It pays attention firstly to the fiscal development of the Czech Republic and Slovakia and then it compares fiscal position of the both countries with the rest of the EU countries. In conclusion there are summarized results of the comparison. |
