Description | Secure remote configuration of the network devices is necessary feature in today's highly interoperable networks. NETCONF protocol has been developed by IETF for these purposes as extensible XML-based network configuration protocol. This presentation describes implementation of the remote configuration system based on NETCONF protocol. The system was primarily developed for the FlowMon probe remote configuration. Due to NETCONF protocol independency of the data definition language and data models used to describe configuration data, developed solution can be simply re-used for other devices. This possibility and other future plans are also presented. |
