| Description | The paper strives to attain two aims. It tries to prove that traditionalism and modernism present two interconnected, dynamic and dichotomous tendencies that influence the development of art, inclusive literature, and that these tendencies - together with other dichotomous tendencies such as antropocentrism and theocentrism or rationalism and irrationalism (mysticism) - generate a system by means of which it is possible to classify not only artistic works and cultural products, but also the epochs of cultural development. |
