Description | The behavioural investigation showed stimulatory influence of methamphetamine (Met) after both acute administration and development of sensitization. Met administration increased D1 mRNA expression; non-significantly after the first dose and significantly (p<0.006) after the challenge dose. Changes in D2 mRNA expression were not significant at all, which is to certain extent in agreement with other reports suggesting that there is no clear information whether the interaction of D1 and D2 receptors can produce a cooperative or synergistic effect on reinforcement processes |
