| Description | The present contribution discusses the role played by proper nouns in the textbooks of the Czech language for lower secondary schools. It analyses their functions, frequency of individual types of proper nouns and factors leading to their selection. The lexical material analysed is represented by proper nouns excerpted from textbooks of the Czech language published by the Fraus and Prodos publishing houses. |
