| Description | This paper resumes the results of actual excavations in the Middle Danube regions, with special emphasis on the site of Stránská skála. Chronological relationships between two important cultural entities, the Bohunician and the Aurignacian, are investigated, and placed in a broader context of discussion on Neandertal extinction and appearence of anatomically modern humans. |
