Description | The Danubian part of Europe saw various lines of local development in terms of human anatomy, technology, symbolism, and demography. At the same time, this region was open to immigrating foreign populations, mostly from the southeast, which accelerated the local trends and introduced new ones. The complex picture emerging from the Early Upper Paleolithic archaeological record suggests that this immigration was not necessarily a single event, but may have occured in several subsequent stages, or „vawes“. |
