Description 55-years old male was transferred to our clinic because of acute myocardial infarction of inferior wall occurring on the 5th day of his stay in general hospital. The reasons for hospitalization were fever, joints pain and fatigue. Patient was transferred directly to the catheterization laboratory and primary PTCA on right coronary artery with abciximab was performed with satisfactory result. We aspirated the suspected thrombus with guiding catheter during the intervention and sent the aspirated material for histological examination. Twelve hours after intervention deterioration of patient status and unconsciousness occurred. The large intracerebral haematoma was diagnosed by computer tomography. Stereotactic evacuation of the haematoma had been performed, but the patient died few hours after the operation. A bacterial endocarditis of aortic valve was found on autopsy. Histological examination of the aspirated material from right coronary artery proved a septic embolus.
