| Description | This article examines the monetary history of the Unites States in the period from the Declaration of Independence to 1836. Its main focus is the relation between regulation and stability of payment system. Periods of the establishment of first classical bank the Bank of North America and first federal banks connected to government the First Bank of the United States and the Second Bank of the United States are successively examined. |
