| Description | Idiopathic trombocytopenic is a common trombocytopenia in children. When the disease persist more than 6 months is considered chronic disease. Initial therapy of acute trombocytopenia consists of either corticosteroids or intravenous imunoglobulin. Therapy of chronic disease is similar bud including also splenectomy. |
