Description | The article deals with transformation of Communist Party of Sweden (SKP) into Left Party Communists (VPK) in the mid-1960s and Left Party (Vp) in 1990. The aim is to analyze whether it's appropriate to classify the Vp as a member of far left, together with effort to localize more accurate position of the Vp within far left. The study first defines criteria for classification political parties into far left. Then we briefly introduce subdivision of this party type. The main section of the article fosuses on the analysis of the Vp. We accentuate genesis and evolution of the Vp and analyse its ideological-programmatic profile. The article concludes, that it's appropriate to classify the Vp as a member of far left, more precisely far left democratic socialist party, because even through some contradictions in the relation of the Vp's politicians to historical legacies of the party, this contradictions have not broke out into party's programmatics, neither its mobilization strategies. |
