Description | To compare the populations of CD133+ and CD34+ cells from human bone marrow using flow cytometry from two perspectives. To determine which of them contains larger number of primitive hematopoietic cells and to evaluate their proliferation potential. All mentioned findings suggest that CD133+ population involves a higher percentage of primitive hematopoietic cells than the CD34+ cell population. Human bone marrow CD133+ cells offer an alternative for CD34+ cells in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. |
