Description The aim of the text is to suggest goals and areas for the social work with socially excluded Roma families (with children). In this paper I work with a study whose basic results I have published formerly. In the research study, I focussed on analysing interviews conducted with 17 experts (i.e. social workers, Roma pedagogical assistants, Roma activists, teachers and clerics) with whom we talked about the living conditions of socially excluded Roma families. The aim of the research was to provide an answer to the question: -In what ways are parental functions in socially excluded Roma families ensured?- While in my previous articles I addressed the analysis of the interviews and described how our conversation partners perceived the performance of parental functions, now I am looking for the implications of the research results for the practice of social work with the excluded families. This text I see as a tribute to the development of evidence based social work with socially excluded Romany Families.
