Citation
Description There is no doubt about the status of lexicology in the curriculum of German studies. There is also a general agreement in splitting lexicology into several subjects, that are usually taught as separate courses (lexical semantics, word formation, phraseology, onomastics). However, there are differences in using modern tools, which help to describe the general vocabulary and can help extending the individual one. The paper presented the possibilities of using the latest tools of linguistic research - mono- and multilingual parallel electronic corpora - in teaching German lexicology on universities outside the German-speaking countries, especially in the Czech Republic. The result is acessible on a CD KNJL363/09/2 in the department archive.
