| Description | This article is about Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). It is a severe progressive desease affecting only males. In later stages DMD has an impact on respiration muscles. It leads to an early death of a patient. In the part of the study introduces DMD from the medical point of view including possible future therapies. We introduce educational needs of DMD males and Parent Project (an international organization associating DMD families). Recommendations useful for clinical practice, for special education teachers, learning support assistants, educational psychologists and other specialists working with DMD males are presented at the end of article.
