Description | The paper presents the summary of a wider survay of theoretical and empirical works attended to the role and economic behaviour of non-profit organisations (especially supplying services) published in recent years. The paper focuses on conterporary state of art at the field that can be characterised by one of three key questions from Program on Non-profit Organizations at Yale University: Why and how does the non-profit organisations behave differently to state and for-profits? There is an evidence in our study, significant progress in theory of altruism and non-profit enterpreneurship was has been made in recent years. There are critical reviews of some classical hypotheses, such as Hansmann's trust-related theory. |
