Description | The contribution briefly introduces the project of CPV Video Study of English which is being carried out by the Educational Research Centre of Masaryk University's Faculty of Education in close cooperation with the English Department. It focuses in more detail on the description of the planned analysis of the approaches to teaching culture and their observation in English classes with special focus on observing enhancing intercultural communicative competence. It introduces the system of categories developed for observing teaching culture in English classes videotaped in the project of CPV Video Study of English and the preliminary results of the analysis of a sample of 23 videotaped lessons illustrating the categories present in the sample and examples of their representation in the form of transcribed passages. |
