| Description | Villages with inhabitants of Czech descent in southwest Romania (the region of Banat) are popular destinations for tourists from the Czech Republic. A typical goal of this type of holiday is to get familiar with the "well-preserved" landscape and "traditional" way of life of the locals. This text analyzes the ways how the landscape and traditional way of life are perceived by tourists. The theoretical basis of this text was the concept of authenticity developed and used by contemporary social science. |
