Description The CPV Video Web is an e-learning environment that should help to interconnect the theory and practice of teaching and learning through videoclips from real lessons (videotaped in the project CPV Videostudies), and so prepare prospective teachers for their teaching practice. CPV Video Web of English will be developed within our dissertation thesis. Dissertation research will assess the diagnostic competence of prospect English teachers, defined as an ability to see, describe, explain and predict what is happening in a classroom. One of the partial goals is to operationalize the diagnostic competence for research purposes, create a diagnostic module of the Video Web, that will allow us to measure it, and contribute to validating this research tool by comparing the results of student teachers at the beginning and at the end of their studies, and teachers with longer teaching experience.
