Description | In the paper I have endeavoured to apply the life cycle theory to an analysis of economic history of railways in Europe. The main argument of the life cycle theory is that products on the market undergo the process of development from introduction through growth, and maturity till decline. I have applied the theory to historical development of European railways. The special attention is given to differences between Eastern and Western Europe in the second part of the 20th century. |
