Citation
Description The aim of the study is to describe environmental, economic and social benefits and problems of a pilot centre Kejbaly which was constructed as a garden field workplace of the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University, Brno for teaching horticulture. It has gained in the course of 15 years a status of a field centre of education oriented on research into problems of lifelong education for sustainable development and health in the 21st century. It presents in more detail the results of a project Biology for Life and Health that was conceived as part of a research project School and Health 21. The basis of its approach is contrustivism and its application in integrated conception of science education. The aim is to research the problems of construction of knowledge as a methodological principle in which individuals find out, try and experiment on their own and transfer the results of these activities to their own constructions of ideal or material nature. The development of Kejbalys activities is presented in a documentary film and in a photo presentation in English.
