| Description | Treatment efficacy of chronic HCV infection published by Fried et al. seems to be quite comparable to the efficacy achieved in our group of patients treated by the same type of therapy. These results were obtained despite of several differences in groups being compared - different PCR techniques, differences in patient races and slightly different protocol of routine treatment. Our results support the importance of transmission of clinical trial results based on principles of Evidence Based Medicine for routine practice. |
